Dr. Xianqun Fan
Professor Xianqun Fan is a distinguished professor of Changjiang Scholars. He has been engaged in clinical and scientific research of ophthalmology for 34 years, mainly focusing on ocular oncology and orbital diseases. He is the president of Asia-pacific Society of Ocular Oncology and Pathology (APSOOP), the president of Chinese Society of Ocular Oncology (CSOO), the president of Chinese Society of Retinoblastoma (CSR). He served as the sixth president of t of Asia-pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (APSORPS). He has also been appointed as the Fellow of Royal College of Ophthalmologists and the Fellow Ad Hominem of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
As first or corresponding author, he has published 196 papers in peer review journals, such as Cell Stem Cell, Genome Biol, Nucleic Acids Res, Ophthalmology, JAMA Opthalmol. He has also obtained 26 patents. Owing to his clinical and scientific achievements, He has won two second prizes of Chinese national science and technology progress award, three first prizes of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress.
